Clitheroe Castle Museum

The museum is situated next to the Norman castle in the centre of Clitheroe. A wide variety of topics are covered in the displays. Reconstructions of a Victorian kitchen, a printer's shop and a clogger's shop, birds of the Ribble Valley and local geology. A soundtrack is played in the Clog Shop, an 18thC lead mine and the 1880-1890 Victorian kitchen. The museum is housed in the Georgian building which was home of the Steward of the Castle.
